ABSTRACT

This paper firstly introduces an efficient analogy-to-information (A2I) architecture called Nyquist folding receiver (NYFR) that folds the broadband RF inputs by subsampling with sinusoid phase modulation. We then deduce the expression of each process of NYFR with the connection between sinusoidal frequency modulation (SFM) in local oscillator (LOS) and one-kind Bessel function. By the expressions, a parameter estimation algorithm is put forward to obtain the Nyquist zone index of RF input signal then get the frequency information by using one character that the spectrum of each folded component is related to Bessel recurrence formula. Finally, simulation results for characteristic analysis and parameter estimation are provided to verify the correctness of our derivation and parameter estimation algorithm.
