Social Flipped Classroom, an Innovative Strategy to Improve R&D on a Computer Technological Park

Published:17 October 2017Publication History

ABSTRACT

"Escola Pra Valer", or Social Flipped Classroom, is an innovative teaching experience that focuses on the social view of the stu-dents and their protagonism in the classroom and in the labora-tory activities. This experience, put into practice at the Labora-tory of Computer Networks (LAR) at IFCE campus Aracati (Ce), uses philosophical assumptions from the book "Escola Pra Valer" suggesting to the teacher strategies that resemble the "Flipped Classroom" methodology. The work criticizes the delay in the delivering proper education to young people due to traditional methodologies. At the same time, it presents their philosophical presuppositions, justifies the efficiency of the "Flipped Classro-om" face the technological innovation and presents encouraging results of the " Escola Pra Valer" proposal for young people's life who work at the LAR, such as the creation of Aracati Digital, a R&D Pole in computer science.
