The Method of Quickly Establishing a WirelessHART Network

Published: 22 September 2017 Publication History

Abstract

Followed by digital fieldbus and industrial Ethernet technology, wireless technology is another major technological innovation in industrial applications. As one type of wireless sensor networks, WirelessHART garnered great attention. However, it usually takes a long time to establish such a network in the industry from a few minutes to a few hours. To solve this problem, a new scheme, based on the concept of time synchronization and time slotted channel hopping on the data link layer is proposed in this paper. We describe a fast node joining mechanism and do some experiments to validate the effectiveness of the new solution.
