Analysis and Design of High Integrated Low Noise Frequency Source in S Band

Abstract

According to the requirements of miniaturization, low cost and low noise of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) landing device, an S-band local oscillator source suitable for airborne integrated transceiver was developed based on the integrated phase-locked loop (PLL) chip HMC834. The system architecture was designed; the model of loop filter was analyzed and loop parameters were calculated by the Advanced Design System (ADS) simulation software and optimized according to the test. The serial write sequence based on the register configuration was given. The measured results show that the local oscillator satisfies the requirements of the landing-guided equipment airborne integrated transceiver, and the performance is superior, the work is stable and reliable, and has strong engineering practicability.
