ABSTRACT
The Wayne State University Computing Services Center has established a Network Control Center within its Computer and Network Operations Department. This paper defines the institutional and computing environment at Wayne State, and defines the role of the Network Control Center in providing high quality computing services to the user community.
The conference presentation will focus on many of the issues that were addressed in developing the Network Control Center, including project planning, staff selection and training, user training, and the integration of the new function into the existing service environment.
