Agile development of the Mongolian and Chinese all media news teaching system

Published: 20 April 2018 Publication History

Abstract

In this paper, the agile development of a Mongolian and Chinese all media news teaching system is introduced. The system aims at providing the Mongolian undergraduates of Hohhot Nationalities College in China whose major are journalism and media a training platform for news editing with all kinds of media. It digitizes news gathering and editing, helping students to better grasp the news and media curriculum knowledge in practice. At the same time, the system supports bilingualism, Mongolian and Chinese. Mongolian students can enhance the Chinese language accomplishment in the process of teaching, which is conducive to the inheritance of the Mongolian national culture and the fusion of diversification. The development of the system is finished by three graduates one major in software engineering and the other two major in computer science and technology within three weeks. Frequent communications and rapid iterations can avoid the lag in engineering progress, which is caused by the fact that developers do not understand the characteristics of minority languages. It shows that the agile development method solves the drawbacks of the traditional development model, shortens the development cycle, and greatly improving the efficiency.
