ABSTRACT

In view of the characteristics of long propagation delay, hidden terminals and large users in LEO satellite to ground link environment, we adjust CTS_timeout according to the transmission distance, and the TDMA algorithm is introduced into the RTS/CTS access mechanism, an improved two-dimensional Markov model is proposed. Finally, we simulate the work flow of RTS/CTS mechanism under LEO satellite Wi-Fi network by MATLAB. The throughput performance of MAC layer is analyzed and the validity of Markov model is verified. Simulation results show that the system throughput is proportional to the transmission distance in the saturation state, and the lower the bit error rate, the longer the data frame length at which the highest throughput is achieved.
