Research Progress of the IOT in China (2003-2017): Based on the Analysis of Bibliometrics

Published: 24 October 2018 Publication History

Abstract

Using bibliometrics, this paper sorts the IOT related literatures collected from CNKI database in China from 2003 to 2017. It analyzes the annual distribution of IOT literature, authors and institutions, topics, disciplines and patents and standards, and reviews the status of IOT in China. The conclusion is that China's Internet of Things research is currently in a stage of rapid development. From the basic theory research to the technology application research, it presents a multi-disciplinary cross-integration development trend. China's Internet of Things started late. However, the strong support of national policies and the establishment of a research team have made the R & D level of the Internet of Things in China the highest in the world. It has become one of the major developing countries for international standards. China's Internet of Things research team is still not prominent, and the application of Internet of Things technology is still not comprehensive enough. To be further expanded. China should further increase policy support for the Internet of Things, strengthen the construction of scientific research teams, and focus on how to fully integrate the Internet of Things and traditional industries.
