ABSTRACT
A computational program is described, which helps a user to make exercises by capturing his movements using the Kinect device and comparing them with trainer movements. The Kinect is capable to obtain information of the articulated positions of a human body. The computational design and the data capturing process of the exercises are explained. The data recorded are tested to determine their similarity with motion used as pattern reporting the results as a percentage of acceptance for the right movements. Discussion about how to increase user experience for this application is presented.

Multi-scenario gesture recognition using Kinect
CGAMES '12: Proceedings of the 2012 17th International Conference on Computer Games: AI, Animation, Mobile, Interactive Multimedia, Educational & Serious Games (CGAMES)Hand gesture recognition (HGR) is an important research topic because some situations require silent communication with sign languages. Computational HGR systems assist silent communication, and help people learn a sign language. In this article, a ...
Interactive Sand Art Drawing Using Kinect
VINCI '14: Proceedings of the 7th International Symposium on Visual Information Communication and InteractionIn this paper, we present an interactive sand art drawing system using Kinect. Our system adopts a vision-based bare hand detection method which effectively detects the hand position and recognizes the hand gestures. Then, the corresponding sand ...
