Research on Communication between S7-314 PLC and Atlas-MK5 Based on PROFIBUS Protocol

Abstract

This paper introduces the characteristics of PROFIBUS Protocol including data transmission structure and communication sequence. The system uses Siemens S7-314PLC as the main controller and uses PROFIBUS -DP as an industrial field-bus as the monitoring and field device layer data communication. The Atlas-MK5 communication module, and instruction list language (Instruction List) program designs is introduced and complete communication connection and data acquisition with air compressor equipment are completed during control and analysis process. The application results show that the PROFIBUS communication of the S7-314 PLC Master station is accurate and reliable[1].
