Research on the Patent Transfer Network Structure Characteristics of Interregional Industry-University-Research: Based on Social Network

Published: 12 January 2019 Publication History

Abstract

Based on the method of social network analysis, this paper constructs a network structure for the interregional patent transfer in China to understand the situation of it among each province in 2016. Through calculating the degree of each node's centrality, clustering, nuclear density estimation and other methods, the network structure and block characteristics of patent transfer among 31 provinces in China are analyzed. Then this paper gives a conclusion that taking Beijing Province, Shanghai Province and Jiangsu Province as typical examples, China has established a relatively wide but not so mature interregional patent transfer network among provinces, and the situation of them have generally maintained a relatively stable state. Based on the above research, the universities of the C9 league in China are selected as the core nodes in the network. By identifying the information about the patent transfer activities of the C9 league in 2016, the paper analyzes the individual network characteristics of patent transfer between regions. Finally, on the basis of drawing all the research conclusions, the paper puts forward the policy and enlightenment of improving the effect of interregional patent transfer in China.
