ABSTRACT
Satisfaction has long been used as a measure of decision support systems (DSS) success. Recent studies are suggesting some other effects of DSS on users such as learning. Decision makers learning has been described as an important metric of the decision making process performance. This study extends prior work on the subject by monitoring the relationship between satisfaction and learning. By the mean of learning and satisfaction scores accumulated during the usage of a corporate DSS, experimental results suggest the strong correlation between these two measures.

How Incorporating Feedback Mechanisms in a DSS Affects DSS Evaluations
Model-based decision support systems (DSS) improve performance in many contexts that are data-rich, uncertain, and require repetitive decisions. But such DSS are often not designed to help users understand and internalize the underlying factors driving ...
Regret avoidance as a measure of DSS success: An exploratory study
Assessing the value of decision support systems (DSS) is an important line of research. Traditionally, researchers adopt user satisfaction and decision performance to measure DSS success. In some cases, however, the use of DSS is not benefit driven. ...
A field study of organizational factors influencing DSS success
A field study involving 124 organizations, and 378 DSS users, was conducted to ascertain the influence of the user's task environment on DSS success. Three groups were analyzed in the study: managers, financial and planning analysts (FPA's), and "others"...
