ABSTRACT
We propose to conduct a tutorial on importing, distributing, indexing, querying, and updating a large real-world trajectory dataset in the DBMS Secondo. Participants having installed the system and extracted the dataset will be able to follow the tutorial actively.

Spatiotemporal Pattern Queries in Secondo
SSTD '09: Proceedings of the 11th International Symposium on Advances in Spatial and Temporal DatabasesWe describe an initial implementation for spatiotemporal pattern queries in Secondo . That is, one can specify for example temporal order constraints on the fulfillment of predicates on moving objects. It is shown how the query optimizer is extended ...
Analyzing design choices for distributed multidimensional indexing
Scientific datasets are often stored on distributed archival storage systems, because geographically distributed sensor devices store the datasets in their local machines and also because the size of scientific datasets demands large amount of disk ...
A Data Augmentation Algorithm for Trajectory Data
EMODE '23: Proceedings of the 1st ACM SIGSPATIAL International Workshop on Methods for Enriched Mobility Data: Emerging issues and Ethical perspectives 2023The growing prevalence of location-based devices has resulted in a significant abundance of location data from various tracking vendors. Nevertheless, a noticeable deficit exists regarding readily accessible, extensive, and publicly available datasets ...
