Cloud Platform Real-Time Test Method Based on Network Packet Delay Comparison

Published: 28 August 2019 Publication History

Abstract

Real-time performance is the main focus of control system design. For the real-time performance test of cloud platform in industrial control field, this paper proposes a real-time test method for cloud platform based on the comparison of real-time physical machine network packet delay. The method converts the response of the cloud platform virtual machine to the external event into a network packet that responds to the external event, and determines the real-time performance of the virtual machine by comparing the response time delay of the physical machine and the virtual machine to the same frame packet. Finally, some suggestions for improving the real-time performance of the cloud platform are given.
