ABSTRACT

In order to reduce the pressure of actual population data collection on grass-roots units and improve the collection efficiency, we design a data acquisition system based on virtual instrument. The system takes MCU LPC824 as its core and LabVIEW as its development platform. It can collect, analyze, graphically display and store various types of human body characteristic data through serial communication. The designs of machine, hardware, upper computer interface of the system and its test results are introduced in detail. Experimental results showed that the acquisition system worked precisely, operated and maintained easily with a good man-machine interface and high reliability, which totally met the designer's requirements.
