First Things First: A Survey Exploring Key Services and Functions of a Robot

Published: 01 April 2020 Publication History

Abstract

In order to find out the home robot's services and functions that should be developed with priority, we created three scenarios for the robot services including cleaning, laundry, and cooking with detailed functions for each service. We investigated the effect of service types on service evaluation. Robot's laundry service was evaluated as the greatest positive compared to cleaning and cooking service. Furthermore, we explored which robot attributes or task attributes affected robot service evaluation and purchase intention for each function. By service types, different attributes of the robot and the task affected service evaluation and purchase intention.
