Design of Intelligent Container Terminal Communication System Based on 5G Technology

Published: 20 March 2020 Publication History

Abstract

In the intelligent container terminal, the main loading-and-unloading equipment relies entirely on the automatic control of computer system, which puts forward more stringent requirements for low delay, high bandwidth and high reliability of communication system. In order to satisfy these requirements, a communication system framework is designed based on 5G technology. Taking the automation wharf of Qingdao Port as an example, the system test is carried out. The results shows that the proposed system framework can achieve reliable synchronous transmission of control signal, video, image, voice and other information between automated operation equipment, and provide a more economical, flexible and reliable communication mode for intelligent container terminal.
