Concept of Distributed Wind Monitoring System Based on IoT Technology

Published: 30 May 2020 Publication History

Abstract

Wind power technology is treated as an important way for many countries around the world to cope with energy crisis in energy structure transformation. However, due to the uncertainty of wind energy, it brings great challenges to the operation of the power grid. An important reason why wind energy cannot be accurately predicted is that the communication capacity of the wind tower is poor and the data is difficult to be transmitted effectively. Internet of things is a new technology to realize data communication, therefore in this paper a framework of distributed wind monitoring system based on LoRa-NB-IoT technology is purposed and the sensing layer and network layer are focused on.
