ABSTRACT
As the first University founded by a private enterprise in Vietnam, one of the main focuses of FPT University is on the practical knowledge and skills to help students perform well in the workplace. Thus, since its early days, the University has emphasized the importance of work-based training, and has been implementing a sandwich model of the curriculum which includes a compulsory work placement period called On-the-Job training (OJT). This study therefore seeks to evaluate and analyze the current implementation of OJT at FPT University. Based on the findings, it is recommended that further effort should be made for the continuous improvement of the OJT, particularly in terms of supporting activities by the University's functional departments, faculty, and also by the industry.
