ABSTRACT
Keeping an industrial process plant up and running can be quite costly and time-consuming. Since unforeseen breakdowns account for 5% of the annual production costs in the process industry [1], it is crucial to maintain the reliable plant's operation. The reliability of a plant depends on the performance of its devices and instrumentation. Monitoring the health status of the devices is essential to avoid unplanned downtimes. The demonstration aims to showcase a cloud-based application that provides comprehensive information about the device health status and other relevant details for easy plant handling and better operability.

This demo aims to show the following: Device registration into the cloud-platform/web service; Transmission device diagnosis from the field into the cloud, over an industrial edge device; Simulating two different "health" status coming from the device and referring to the respective "cause" and "remedy" information as retrieved from the product master data management.
