Inheritance and Innovation of "Yunnan Element +" – Teaching Practice of Illustration Design Project System

Published:25 April 2021Publication History

ABSTRACT

Yunnan culture has its unique characteristics; especially the minority culture in Yunnan plays an important role in the development of Chinese culture. In recent years, the field of illustration design has been developed rapidly. It is a mainstream trend to integrate Yunnan elements into illustration design, but the existing teaching mode is relatively backward. Therefore, this paper puts forward the inheritance and innovation of "Yunnan element +" – the practical research on the project-based teaching of illustration design. This paper makes an in-depth investigation and Research on the teaching mode of illustration design major in Colleges and universities in China. Through the research, it can be seen that the current illustration design teaching in China has some typical problems, such as the serious lack of practical teaching links, the disconnection between practical teaching projects and social needs, and the lack of innovation in practical teaching. In view of these problems, this paper puts forward the teaching practice reform method of illustration design based on Yunnan cultural elements. In this method, the teaching reform is carried out by formulating the project assignment, establishing the principles of curriculum structure design, and ensuring the whole process tracking of illustration design items. Effectively improve the teaching effect, and students have a strong interest in Yunnan elements. At the same time, it also cultivates students' willingness to inherit Yunnan culture.
