Research on the Establishment of Identity Evaluation System for Hotel Management Major in Wuhan Universities

ABSTRACT

The opening hotel management professional colleges in Wuhan as the research object, through the questionnaire survey to collect data, using factor analysis to build a Wuhan university hotel management professional identity evaluation system, and points out that "professional learning and industry development value", "professional teaching and influence", "study and employment", "employment intention" and "degree of learning" are the five key dimensions of professional identity. On this basis, this paper further examines the differences in the evaluation indicators of professional identity among relevant groups from the perspectives of gender, educational system and major selection, and finds that: (1) from the perspective of gender, compared with female students, male students have a higher degree of professional identity of hotel management; (2) From the perspective of educational system, there is no obvious difference in the recognition degree of the hotel management major; (3) From the perspective of major selection, compared with students who choose independently, students who are forced to change their major have a higher degree of recognition of hotel management.
