Study on the influence of heterogeneous perception of tourist destination on tourists' local attachment and loyalty: Take Enshi in Hubei province as an example

Published:24 March 2021Publication History

ABSTRACT

Tourists' local attachment has always been a hot topic in human geography research. The research results are of great significance to the theory of human-land relationship and the study on the sustainable development of tourist destinations. The relationship between tourists' perceived differences, perceived distance and satisfaction, local attachment and loyalty is discussed by using questionnaire and structural equation model. The research shows that: (1) perceived difference and perceived distance of ethnic tourists have significant influence on satisfaction, among which, perceived difference has positive influence and perceived distance has negative influence. (2) Satisfaction has a significant positive impact on local dependence and local identity, which indicates that perception difference and perception distance have an indirect impact on the two dimensions of local attachment through satisfaction. (3) satisfaction has a significant positive impact on loyalty, indicating that perceived difference and perceived distance have an indirect impact on loyalty; (4) local dependence and local identity have a significant impact on loyalty, but the impact of local identity on loyalty is greater than the local dependence, combined with the local dependence on the significant impact of local identity can be concluded that the local dependence also through local identity has an indirect impact on loyalty.
