ABSTRACT

PBL is a good way to develop students' multi-faceted abilities. PBL teaching mode emphasizes to explore problems in real situations and solve them step by step. PBL teaching mode focuses on group cooperative learning, and improves students' comprehensive ability by asking questions, analyzing questions, group learning and sharing results. The unique teaching method of PBL is very applicable to some contents of the chemistry discipline. Therefore, the author carries out practical research on the TEACHING mode of PBL in biochemistry. The purpose of this paper is to study the application of PBL teaching method in biochemistry teaching. Based on the reality, this paper uses the literature research method to analyze and define the definition, types and other theoretical basis of PBL teaching mode. At the same time, taking "metal materials with wide uses", "chlorine gas" and "sulfur and its Compounds" in section 2 of Chapter 4 and Section 3 of Chapter 4 as examples, teaching cases conforming to the requirements of PBL teaching mode are designed and practiced. The average score of chlorine and sulfur in the practice class is 2 points higher than that in the control class, indicating that PBL teaching mode is cond.ucive to improving students' academic performance.
