Discussion on the Teaching Reform of Environmental Design in Colleges from the Perspective of Industrial Clusters

Published: 09 June 2021 Publication History

Abstract

At present, the economy is developing rapidly. Industrial clusters have become an important driving force for China's economic and educational development, which provides opportunities and challenges for the development of local colleges. China's higher education has entered the stage of popular education, especially the art and design category with strong professional practicality. Under the background of strong industrial clusters, there is a huge market demand. As one of the art and design categories, major of environmental design also ranks among the popular specialties in various colleges. Recently, the major of environmental design has transported a large number of design talents to the society, and promoted the construction of urban culture and development of higher education in our country. Although certain scale and social benefits have been formed in the process of development, various problems are becoming more and more obvious. The professional structure of each university is roughly the same, the personnel training objectives are the same, and the lack of college-running characteristics leads to structural unemployment of graduates, which also directly affects the sound development of artistic design in university education. As a result, it is imperative for private colleges to transform their design education.
