ABSTRACT
This paper mainly studies the relationship between the modal particle “De” at the end of the sentence and the structural particle “De” in the sentence and the focus. Through experiments, it is found that the character “de” has different effects on focus: At the end of the sentence, the modal particles “de” and “is” form the “is of...” structure to mark the focal point and divide the boundary area; the structural particles have the function of highlighting the focal point. The focus has different effects on the character of “de”: whether the part of speech is the same or not, there will be significant differences due to the impact of the focus, especially for the words immediately after the focus, which is manifested as an increase in the length of the sound.
