Analysis of Correlated Interference Effects on Noncoherent Receiver

Published: 23 September 2021 Publication History

Abstract

As there is a high correlation between correlated interference and communicating signal, a better interference effect can be obtained through a smaller interference-to-signal ratio for correlated interference in comparison with traditional blanket interference. This paper presents a general interference response model of 2FSK non-coherent receiver with correlated interference, and derives analytical BER expressions with specified or random phase offset. According to theoretical derivation and simulation verification, the best interference for 2FSK non-coherent signal receivers is determined. In addition, considering practical applications, this paper discusses the impact on correlated interference effect with specified or random phase offset between interference and signal. Finally, it is proved that with ISR>0dB, correlated interference can achieve effective interference for most Eb/N0.
