Research on ZigBee routing algorithm based on clustering mechanism

Abstract

In view of the inefficiency of cluster-tree algorithm and the high expense of AODVjr algorithm, a ZigBee routing algorithm based on cluster and backup cluster head is proposed. The ZigBee routing algorithm uses ADOVjr algorithm for data transmission and routing between different cluster trees. But for the inter-cluster, the relatively simple Cluster-Tree algorithm is used for data transmission and to improve the process of addressing and inter-cluster addressing process. Then the concept of backup cluster head is also put forward. Finally, it is found that the improved algorithm performs better than the traditional algorithm in terms of average transmission delay, route control cost and residual energy percentage through the simulation environment verification.
