Data Analysis on Upgrading Undergraduates from Academy Graduates with Major in Applied Electronic Technology for Recent Three Years

Abstract

This paper introduces the system of academy graduate upgrading undergraduate or “3+2” training mode in Jiangsu Province, and discusses its necessity and positive effect. Through the analysis on the data of academy graduate upgrading undergraduate in the past three years, it has been found that the top three majors selected by the students majoring in applied electronic technology in the higher vocational college are Electronic Information Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, and Automation. The study on the professional courses and employment positions of these three majors has revealed that the graduates by “3+2” training mode usually have the traits of uptrend, multilevel and complexity. In addition, the statistics of the numbers of students and undergraduate colleges involved in the “3+2” training mode has shown the increasing states of the both year by year, indicating that the “3+2” training mode has been becoming more and more popular. Finally, the analysis of the success rate of academy graduates upgrading undergraduate in terms of the students with different enrollment types confirms the fact that the high success rate results from the students with general admission of enrollment type. The proposals based on the original data and reasonable inference in the paper can provide a valuable reference for the professional construction of higher vocational education.
