Analysis of Profitability, Manager Share Ownership and Institutions Share Ownership on Dividend Payments

ABSTRACT

Dividends as profits distributed by the company to shareholders are the main objective of a business, namely the prosperity of shareholders. The main purpose of this study is to empirically analyze profitability, manager share ownership and share ownership of institutions on dividend payments. The population of the study consisted of companies which are listed on the Indonesian stock exchange selected based on the purposive sampling. The data of the study from secondary sources by using documentation record. The analysis was conducted by using classic assumption testing consisting of heteroscedasticity testing, multicollinearity testing and autocorrelation testing. The hypothesis was tested by using multiple linear regression. The result proved that profitability, manager share ownership and share ownership of institutions on dividend payments.
