Implementation of Digital Photographic in Design Education for Sustainable Development

Published:20 December 2021Publication History

ABSTRACT

Abstract. The modern design, covering almost the entire subject-spatial environment of a human habitat, plays a special role in the process of ensuring sustainable development; namely the formation of its social, cultural, economic and environmental components. At first glance, it seems that the activities of designers are aimed only at creating new products and supporting the economy; in fact, their activities are quite diverse and affect the ecological and social spheres of society. Designers make a serious contribution to sustainable developments’ problems solving, since design products not only functionally provide and organize people's lives, but also affect their physiological and psychological state, because the arrangement of the subject-spatial environment affects the quality of human life, the state of health, psychophysical comfort, etc. The design process must be environmentally and socially responsible, and design thinking must be not only mobile and creative, but also sustainable. Environmental education should be implemented in all spheres of society; first of all, it should become a part of the design education. The article discusses the issues of using digital technologies in the process of professional training of future designers, namely when teaching students to develop projects on various topics related to the development of ecological culture, using technological, constructive and compositional-artistic techniques that ensure the environmental friendliness of the developed subject-spatial environment.
