On the Application of Artificial Intelligence Technology in the Field of Judicial Adjudication

Published:14 March 2022Publication History

ABSTRACT

The introduction of artificial intelligence technology into judicial adjudication is of great significance. By using the intelligent case handling system to assist judges in handling cases, on the one hand, it can effectively alleviate the problem of many cases but few judges in Chinese courts, thereby improving judicial efficiency; on the other hand, judges can retrieve information about similar cases on the judgment document management platform. This can promote the unification of the law and protect the judges to exercise their discretion. However, the scope of use of artificial intelligence technology should be controlled in judicial judgments. Under the conditions of following the provisions of judicial judgments, based on China's national conditions and judicial practice experience, set up legal and reasonable regulations and procedures. Promote the combination of artificial intelligence "technology" and "people" in judicial trials to ensure the legal operation of the judicial intelligence process.
