ABSTRACT

This paper presents the results of a study of the energy performance of the building of the Burgas Free University, as well as of a dwelling located in it. An analysis of the possibilities of a set of software products for determining the energy performance of new and existing buildings has been made. The aim of the research was to establish the energy efficiency class of the building of Burgas Free University using different software products. Two software products were used for this purpose: ENSI EAB software (used in Bulgaria) and ECMK Rd.SAP 9.94 software product (used in Great Britain). Results have been obtained showing small differences in the calculated values of the energy parameters, which are probably due to the use of data in the software specific to a given climate zone, as well as to the differences in the normative documents for energy audit in different countries.
