Abstract

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are excited to welcome everyone to this 27th edition of the International Conference on Architectural Support for Programming Languages and Operating Systems (ASPLOS 2022) held in person in Lausanne and live streamed all over the world. The past few years have been taxing on our community with personal and professional implications for many imposed by COVID-19. While technology has enabled a dramatic improvement for virtual conferences, we hope that with ASPLOS 2022 we can slowly bring back a physical experience and light at the end of the tunnel especially for the younger members of our community to benefit both technically and socially.
