ABSTRACT
The implementation of rural revitalization strategy is a major decision made by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Geographical indication agricultural products can Play an important role in rural revitalization because of their intrinsic connection with the nature and history of the region. As one of the leaders in the production and operation of geographical indication products, cooperatives' operating performance are directly related to the development of geographical indication agricultural products industry. Based on the questionnaire survey in Anhui Province, We made an empirical analysis on the factors influencing cooperatives' operating performance by using OLS regression model. The research results show that: Scale of cooperative and Whether the farmer cooperative is a demonstration community, whether they have independent brands, the educational level of the chairman of the farmer cooperative and the relevant technical guidance and support policies of the government have a significant impact on farmer cooperatives' operating performance, In particular, cooperatives' operating performance can be significantly improved by undergoing geographical indication certification of agricultural products. However, the establishment time of farmer cooperatives, the age and sex of directors of farmers cooperatives, whether the cooperatives participate in the traceability system of agricultural product quality, and the attention to the quality and safety of agricultural products have not played significant role in increasing cooperatives' operating performance. The research findings have guiding significance for government policymaking.
