ABSTRACT
We used a hydrothermal method to prepare two kinds of BiOIO3 photocatalytic materials. First, they were used to degrade 10 mg/L rhodamine B (RhB) solution. The B-1 showed a higher degradation efficiency. The BiOI/BiOIO3 composite photocatalyst prepared with B-1 as a substrate exhibited better photocatalytic performance when degrading tetracycline hydrochloride (TC). And the degradation rate was higher than that of a single BiOIO3. Finally, we did an experiment to optimize the dosage of BiOI/BiOIO3 to degrade tetracycline hydrochloride (TC). The conclusion is that when 55 mg of BiOI/BiOIO3 was added, the degradation rate of tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) was the highest, and 80% of tetracycline hydrochloride could be degraded.
