ABSTRACT
Electronic packaging, as an emerging discipline, aims to cultivate professionals in electronic packaging technology. Electronic packaging technology is the core course of the electronic packaging, which involves multi-disciplinary fields such as materials, electronics, testing, design and manufacturing, and complicated operation skills, so the traditional teaching model can no longer meet the needs of experimental teaching and talent training due to the disadvantages of low efficiency and high repeatability. With the development of Internet technology and the integration of computer technology and education, flipped classroom teaching model has attracted much attention in higher education. The application of the flipped classroom strategy in other engineering education has brought about beneficial gains in teaching effect. However, the use of flipped classroom strategy in the experimental teaching of electronic packaging technology has received less attention. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of flipped classroom teaching model in the experimental teaching of electronic packaging technology. In this study, the flipped classroom teaching model was introduced in the experimental teaching of the electronic packaging technology. At the same time, the teaching content was designed with modular and the teaching concept of outcome-based education (OBE) was also integrated into the teaching course. The results showed that the efficiency and quality of experimental teaching have been effectively improved by the construction of online learning tutorials, independent learning pre-class, collaborative practice in-class and knowledge consolidation post-class.
