Design and Optimization of Vehicle Auxiliary Lines in Vehicle Surround View Image

Published: 26 October 2022 Publication History

Abstract

With the increase in car ownership, assisted driving has become the focus of car manufacturers. In the vehicle surround view image, the vehicle auxiliary line can help the driver to accurately understand his own driving trajectory and assist safe driving. The vehicle auxiliary line rendering process designed in this paper not only supports rendering vehicle auxiliary lines in traditional undistorted images, but also supports rendering vehicle auxiliary lines in distorted images. The rendering methods of 3D mode and 2D vehicle auxiliary lines are designed separately, which reduces the CPU usage. The bicycle model is optimized to reduce the computational complexity without affecting the accuracy of the vehicle auxiliary line. Using the table lookup method not only reduces the computational complexity, but also improves the accuracy of vehicle auxiliary lines. Experiments show that this technique can render vehicle auxiliary lines accurately.
