Inspection Remote Control System Design based on Mobile SDK

Published:26 October 2022Publication History

ABSTRACT

The applications of UAVs in the civil field are becoming widened. Although their industry applications are increasingly mature, the problems, such as large staff costs, high professional competence requirements, and difficulties in keeping vast data, are still faced. A UAV remote control system for inspection operation is designed to address such problems. A mobile application using the DJI Mobile SDK and a user website using the MVC framework are developed, using Socket communication as the basis for the main data transmission link, which realize the functions of online monitoring of UAVs status, controlling of UAVs takeoff and landing, issuing mission orders, and viewing inspection operations results, etc. In addition, experiments were conducted in cooperation with the ground rechargeable hangar. The result shows that this system is reliable in remote control and data transmission, easy to operate, which effectively improves efficiency, reduces costs and professional barriers for users.
