Research on campus logistics intelligent sorting system using robots

Published:26 October 2022Publication History

ABSTRACT

Logistics express delivery point pickup is often a time-consuming and labor-intensive task, especially in colleges and universities. During shopping festivals, there are often spectacular scenes where pickup points are "bursting". On the one hand, express sorters inevitably suffer from inefficiency due to long-term overload work. On the other hand, a large number of teachers and students gather at the crowded and small courier points to line up to pick up the packages. Not only the teachers and students have a poor experience in picking up packages, but also there are greater safety and health risks. Based on the above problems, in response to the actual situation of Guangzhou Xinhua University, we launched the idea of a logistics intelligent sorting system for colleges and universities. The intelligent sorting system recognizes the QR code of the user to pick up the goods through the machine, and the locker releases the corresponding goods, which are carried out by the robot. The goods are sorted and placed in the picking window, and teachers and students can pick up the goods directly.
