ABSTRACT
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are a growing trend in contemporary education due to their accessible and flexible access to satisfy learning objectives. However, there are worries regarding learning success because cultural factors that influence learning are not given specific consideration. This study uses the scoping review methodology to select and integrate the findings of current studies conducted between 2018 and 2022. The results of this review indicate that recent research on culture and its function in the development and learning through MOOC have begun to address these problems. The academics have examined the personalization of student learning culture, culture, and digital transformation, the significance of culture in creating MOOCs, and the impact of the cultural component on learning through MOOCs. The study of culture and learning, particularly MOOC, is fascinating. A cultural function that assists students, instructors, and developers in developing and utilizing the optimal MOOC. The part of the culture, which can be employed as a marketing technique for MOOC products, also offers a larger research space.
