ABSTRACT
The Philippines is known as the third-largest contributor of solid waste per year among Southeast Asian Countries. By 2030, it is expected that every Filipino will be producing five additional kilograms of solid waste per year, resulting in an overall increase of 20.1 million metric tons – a 39.9 percent increase from 2014. The objective of this study is to provide an easier way of waste segregation and waste collection to increase overall recycling habits in the community wherein households and communities benefit from the rewards provided by the web application. Moreover, the project proposed will also target to implement features that make recyclables accessible for recycle centers. This paper focuses on assessing the usability of the designed mobile application in this study in terms of its effectivity in helping the community be driven in helping the country's overall waste practices.
