ABSTRACT

With the more than two years of the global pandemic, schools needed to switch from full face-to-face classes to flexible learning. In this study, the online learning profile of the students was described and their satisfaction in the NU Flexible Learning Experience (NU FLEX), their motivation, and challenges during the online classes were determined. A total of 1114 students participated in the survey and the results were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results revealed that most of the students are using their laptops and are utilizing their own internet connectivity at home in attending their online classes. In terms of their satisfaction with NU FLEX, a very satisfactory rating for the technology, set-up, interaction, outcome, and overall satisfaction was found. Furthermore, they strongly agreed that the poor internet connectivity demotivates them from attending their online classes. Results also showed that the moderate challenges encountered by the students during online classes are technical difficulties, staying focused during a lecture, absence of practical experience, and distractions at home.
