Research on Voltage Disturbance Analysis Method for Electric Vehicle Charging Pile

Published:10 April 2023Publication History

ABSTRACT

With the deployment of a large number of electric vehicle charging piles, the existence of a large number of power electronic converters and nonlinear loads in the charger will affect the power quality of the distribution network. The analysis of power disturbance signal is of great practical significance for improving power quality and safety and stability of power system. In order to overcome the defect that traditional time-frequency transform method is difficult to separate and extract disturbance signals effectively, a voltage disturbance analysis method for electric vehicle charger is proposed. Firstly, the multiple matching synchronous transform (MMSST) is used to decompose the disturbed signal to obtain the intrinsic mode functions (IMF). Then, the disturbed signal is analyzed through the instantaneous frequency and amplitude obtained by Hilbert Transform (HT). The experimental results show that this method can effectively extract the disturbance components in the voltage disturbance signal and realize the effective identification of power quality disturbance.
