It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the third edition of the FRAME workshop, held in conjunction with the HPDC 2023 and the FCRC 2023 conferences on June 20, 2023 in Orlando, FL, USA. The mission of the FRAME workshop is to bring together Cloud and Edge computing experts from academia and industry in order to identify new challenges for the management of resources in Cloud-Edge infrastructures, as well as to promote the vision of a Continuum of resources including Edge and Cloud platforms among academia and industry stakeholders. Interoperability and efficient allocation of resources at the Edge can enable a whole new set of scenarios where interactive and time-sensitive services can close the proximity gap with (potential) users, extending their services toward them.

An Intelligent Continuum for Intelligent Applications
The compute continuum is considered to be just an aggregation of computational entities encompassing a diverse array of resources, ranging from public clouds to edge devices. To facilitate the development of next-generation intelligent applications, we ...
DATA7: A Dataset for Assessing Resource and Application Management Solutions at the Edge
This paper presents a dataset on edge devices and mobility patterns to comprehensively understand user behaviour and devices workload in Edge computing environments. The dataset is built on top of a publicly available dataset of cellular tower locations ...
Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning for Weighted Multi-Path Routing
Traditional multi-path routing methods distribute evenly traffic across multiple paths in a network, which can lead to inefficient use of resources if some paths are significantly longer or less reliable than others. Weighted multi-path routing ...
Real-time Monitoring and Analysis of Edge and Cloud Resources
As Edge and Cloud platforms increasingly become the basis for hosting applications, monitoring systems need to be able to monitor both the hosts and the deployed applications. Ensuring seamless monitoring of Edge hosts is the most crucial factor, ...
Simulating FaaS Orchestrations In The Cloud-Edge Continuum
Deploying Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) applications to resources in the Cloud-Edge continuum calls for suitable simulation environments to assess new proposals for managing those applications while accounting for their specificity, i.e. ephemeral ...
Contention-aware Performance Modeling for Heterogeneous Edge and Cloud Systems
Diversely Heterogeneous System-on-Chips (DH-SoC) are increasingly popular computing platforms in many fields, such as autonomous driving and AR/VR applications, due to their ability to effectively balance performance and energy efficiency. Having ...
Innovation Potential of the ACCORDION Platform
The seamless utilization of resources in the cloud-edge spectrum is a key driver for innovation in the ICT sector, as it supports economic growth and strengthens the industry's competitiveness while making next-application services possible with minimal ...
