The CITA GO-ON dialogue system: mid-term achievements

Published: 10 August 2023 Publication History

Abstract

Alzheimer’s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder that primarily affects older individuals, with the majority of cases occurring in people over the age of 65. As the global population continues to age, the number of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease is expected to increase. There is no known cure for Alzheimer’s disease, but research has identified several lifestyle factors that may help prevent or delay the onset of the disease. The CITA GO-ON project is an ongoing study to prevent cognitive decline in individuals at risk of fragility. The influence of a multi-modal intervention is being assessed. In this framework, participants’ interactions with a Spoken Dialogue System (SDS) are being explored. We present its technical details and the kind of dialogues it can carry out: multiuser (with up to 250 users in parallel) data acquisition dialogues about cardio-vascular risk, intellectual life and nutrition.
