Design on Stream Filtering and Policing based on Time Sensitive Network

Published: 20 July 2023 Publication History

Abstract

This paper designs the methods of stream filtering and stream policing based on Time Sensitive Networks. A large number of data which does not meet the requirements of transmission can affect the transmission of critical data, and damage the devices on the network. Therefore, the transmission of deterministic data is guaranteed through stream filtering and stream monitoring mechanism. The key technologies include stream identification and classification, stream filtering, stream monitoring and gate mechanism. First through stream identification, which is illegal or not allowed will be filtered, and then go to stream classification which is based on demands for the flexible configuration. It's achieved by the rules of filtering which are configured with actions, hierarchical-level meter strategies, combined with gate control list and extend gate mechanism. Through these technologies, it is effective to filter and monitor the traffic, which can prevent errors and attacks on the devices.
