Efficiency evaluation of cultural tourism industry based on DEA method

Published:26 June 2023Publication History

ABSTRACT

In order to study the utilization efficiency of cultural tourism resources in China, this paper takes 31 provinces in mainland China as the research object, selects relevant data in 2019, and makes empirical analysis with DEA model. The research results show that five of the 31 provincial regions have reached DEA efficiency, while the comprehensive efficiency, technical efficiency and scale efficiency of the utilization of cultural tourism resources in the other 26 provinces have not reached the optimal value. So, the conclusion is as follows: it is suggested to continue to promote the supply-side structural reform of the tourism industry, optimize the industrial structure and implement the transformation of digital cultural tourism to promote industrial upgrading. At the same time, we should further promote the deep integration of cultural and tourism to promote the connotative development of cultural and tourism combined with the influence of artificial intelligence on tourism. Implement the strategy of coordinated development of regional tourism and promote the symbiotic development of regional tourism.
