Capacity Analysis of NOMA with mmWave for 5G wireless Communications and Beyond

Published:13 November 2023Publication History

ABSTRACT

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is a fundamental technology that is propelling the progress of 5G mobile communications and beyond, as it boasts superior spectral efficiency that allows it to accommodate a larger number of users through non-orthogonal resource allocation. The integration of NOMA and millimeter-wave (mmWave) technologies has garnered significant attention in recent studies as a means of enhancing communication quality. In this paper, our objective is twofold: first, we provide a survey of NOMA and mmWave technologies, and second, we present an evaluation of the capacity of NOMA-mmWave for future mobile communication networks.
