Abstract

It is my pleasure to introduce myself and the new members of the SIGWEB Executive Board. After having served four years as a Vice Chair for SIGWEB, I am now in charge as Chair since 1 July. I will be supported by Irwin King (The Chinese University of Hong Kong) as Vice Chair and Alexandra Bonnici (L-Università ta' Malta) as Treasurer, as well as by the former Chair, Peter Brusilovsky, and - last but not least - the many excellent members of the SIGWEB Executive Committee¹. In this letter, I will give you an overview of the current state of SIGWEB and its conferences, and which directions the SIGWEB community envisions and explores.
